The Tinder Torch was my flagship fire tinder that started it all. I had seen a video online about someone making their own fire tinder one day—as I was thoroughly entranced with all things survival. I took one look at what they were making and said,
“I can do that better.”
It turned out so well, I decided to go for it as I had always been an entrepreneur—like my father was. So, here we are almost 10 years after my first major review, and The Tinder Torch has taken some serious leaps and bounds in it’s quality and superior creation methodology.

I got even deeper into survival as the business progressed and really took the idea of size and weight constraints to heart. I was deep into playing around with different bug out bag loadouts and wanted to provide a superior, but compact fire kit to my customers. Thus, the Ultralight Fire Kit was born: featuring the illustrious Spark Gauge Striker, and all of my tinder offerings had their own miniaturized versions to go along with the full size versions!
